Alumnus at CUNY Queens College
Class of 2022
Current: Poughkeepsie, NY
Hometown: Coram, NY
Major: Urban Studies
Minor: Honors in Social Sciences
short term is complete my accelerated master's program in Urban Studies/Urban Affairs so that I can learn more about the topic and figure out what I want to do career wise. I'd also love to travel before I hop back into the work force. I feel like traveling is something that's important and opens our eyes to more things in life. I'd also like to maintain my GPA and hopefully graduate with a 3.7+ GPA. Long term, I would love to find a career that allows me to do what I love the most, which is helping people, and also find a job that would allow me to travel and support/spend time with my family.
I saw an opportunity for personal growth and figuring out what I truly wanted to study. I found the right major for me, Urban Studies, because I found a major that would focus on topics that are important to me and actually interest me. Queens College played an important factor in me becoming the person I am today which is a person that's more confident and involved with my community.
I'm really creative. I used to draw a lot when I was younger and now I use my creative side more on social media when creating content for myself or other organizations. I'm also very musical. When I was younger, I was always able to pick up instruments and play. However, I only started traditionally practicing violin in 3rd grade. I still play occasionally but I played violin all the way until 12th grade and miss being in orchestra.
Urban Studies 101. Urban Studies 101 was the first Urban Studies class that I took and after taking this introductory class, I realized that I wanted to become an Urban Studies major and found myself excited to learn again.
